Job summary

Benetel Limited in Ireland is seeking a technically skilled professional for hands-on lab work, soldering, product bring-up, testing, and debugging. You will collaborate with engineering to ensure products meet specifications and are documented for QA.

The role also covers packing and shipping to standard processes, leveraging programming tools and PCB familiarity. The ideal candidate has a diploma or bachelor’s in a technical field, at least 18 months in electronic repair with strong soldering,

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• Minimum 18 months experience in electronic or phone repair with soldering capability.
• Experience in manufacture or repair of electronic & telecommunication products.

Responsibilities

• Lab work including precise soldering of fine pitch components.
• Bring-up & testing of Benetel products from contract manufacturer.
• Interface with engineering to ensure products meet specifications and report issues for timely resolution.
• Programming & active debugging of Benetel products.
• Ensure all products are presented to Quality department per Benetel QA standards.
• Pack and ship Benetel products per standard process.

Job description

Lab work, which includes excellent soldering of fine pitch components

Bring-up & testing of Benetel products received from contract manufacturer

Interface with engineering to ensure products are tested to specification and report issues to engineering to allow resolution in a timely manner

Programming & active debug of Benetel products

Ensure all products are presented to Quality department in accordance with Benetel QA standards

Pack and ship Benetel products to Benetel's standard process

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum educational requirement is a diploma or bachelor's degree in any relevant technical discipline

Minimum 18 months experience in electronic or phone repair, where excellent soldering capability was a key requirement

Key Skills:

Proficient soldering capability to IPC Class 2

Proficient in using programming tools (i.e. Xilinx, Microchip)

Experience of manufacture or repair of electronic & telecommunication products

Understanding of wireless testing requirements

Ability to interpret electronic schematics and PCB layouts

Ability to adhere to process

Experience with Altium Designer would be advantageous
