Job summary

Careerwise Recruitment seeks an experienced Equipment Maintenance Technician for a Galway-based manufacturing company. You will perform planned, predictive and reactive maintenance on production and facility equipment, and document activities to regulatory standards.

Applicants should have an NFQ Level 6 degree or equivalent, 3+ years in industry, and hands-on experience with PLCs, motor drives and pneumatics. Electrical qualification would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• NFQ Level 6 degree or trades equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, motor drives and pneumatic components.
• Strong electromechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with industrial machinery.
• Electrical qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance on a wide variety of production and facility equipment.
• Document maintenance and calibration activities in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Interpret technical drawings and schematics to diagnose and repair equipment issues.
• Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC power systems, PLC, servo drive systems and compressed air issues.
• Assist in developing and improving preventive maintenance programs.
• Identify and report any equipment concerns or issues.
