Job summary

Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd. in Killarney, Ireland is seeking an experienced electrician for industrial maintenance to ensure high uptime and safety.

You will perform preventative maintenance, fault-finding, and improvements on AC/DC motors, drives, sensors, PLCs, and LV/HV installations, while keeping records and KPIs. Weekend shifts are required 06:30–18:30 Friday to Sunday.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrician with industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong fault-finding ability on automated equipment advantageous.
• Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and machine documentation to support fault-finding, self-directed learning, and development of machine knowledge and maintenance competency.
• Proficient with Outlook, Excel, SharePoint and CAFM systems.
• Experience in testing, inspection and compliance.
• PLC/CNC/robotics advantageous.
• Strong safety awareness, experience working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Must be available to work weekends 06:30am – 18:30pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance, fault-finding, root cause analysis and repairs on machinery and plant to required standard.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
• Carry out inspections, testing, and safety checks in line with regulations.
• Support installation, commissioning, upgrades, and modification projects where required.
• Work on AC/DC motors, control circuits, sensors, drives, PLC systems, and LV/HV installations.
• Cable sizing, installation, glanding, and terminations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports (manual and computer systems), while maintaining departmental KPIs.
• Support continuous improvement and assist in training apprentices.
• Liaise with operators, supervisors, and colleagues to complete work effectively.
• Work independently while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping
