Job summary

Efficient Renewables, based at Newtowncunningham, is seeking an Experienced Electrician to install, test, maintain, and commission electrical systems for renewable energy projects including solar PV, battery storage, EV chargers, and heat pumps.

The role requires Level 5 trade certification, 4 years' experience, and a full driving licence. You will work with project teams, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and deliver high-quality workmanship for domestic and commercial installations.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification: Level 5 (incl Leaving Certificate/ Leaving Certificate Applied/ Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme).
• Experience in domestic and commercial electrical installations.
• Full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission Solar PV systems and EV charging points.
• Carry out testing, fault-finding, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Complete electrical inspections and certification in accordance with current regulations.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers and installation teams.
• Maintain accurate records of completed works and certifications.
• Deliver excellent customer service and communicate professionally with clients.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and industry standards.

Job Description

As an Electrician, you will play a crucial role in the installation, testing, maintenance, and commissioning of electrical systems for renewable energy projects, including solar PV, battery storage, EV chargers, and heat pumps.

What you'll do

• Install and commission Solar PV systems, battery storage systems, and EV charging points.
• Carry out electrical work associated with heat pump and renewable energyAbility to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Experience with Solar PV installations (desirable)installations.
• Perform testing, fault-finding, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
