Job Title – Electrician

Job Location — Co. Cavan

Salary — Based on Experience

The Role

Do you have experience as an Electrician and are involved in performing planned maintenance, routines and reactive repairs on a range of electrical installations and manufacturing equipment? If so then we have the role for you.

This role will involve working across our functions. Connecting cable and control boxes on large units, electrically testing transformers to high customer specification and occasionally working with maintenance and visiting customer site. The role also requires shift work with fixed schedules and overtime where necessary.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

• Ability to perform routine electrical maintenance and reactive repairs on all areas of the plant.
• To ensure that all electrical work is safe and within compliance of the rules and regulations set in place.
• Appropriately use hand tools, equipment and machinery for any repairs or minor details for improvement.
• Carry out inspections and fault diagnostics in a safe and friendly environment.
• To ensure that all the work carried out is of an acceptable standard, safe and on time.
• To make sure that all breakdowns and emergency situations are acted on quickly.
• Ensure that all documentation is filled out adequately and accurately and recorded up to date on a daily basis.
• To work closely with all staff to ensure everything runs effectively on the machinery and equipment to ensure there are improvements all over.

Experience and Knowledge for this Role

• Degree or equivalent of 3+ years as an Electrician.
• Experience within the Manufacturing Industry.
• Use of testing equipment and hand tools.
• Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of electrical drawings.
• Have proven ability to work within a team environment.
• Excellent Communication Skills.
