Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY IRELAND LIMITED is seeking an Electrical Project Manager in Ireland to lead complex energy-sector projects within a hybrid work model. You will define project plans, supervise internal and external teams, manage budgets and risks, and ensure compliance with Hitachi Energy standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of PM experience, with strong leadership and communication skills to influence policy and drive project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex projects.
• Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence others regarding policies, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Define main guidelines, allocate project tasks, and motivate and monitor internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones.
• Define all project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule, and risk management plans, jointly with the Project Controls department.
• Ensure the project follows execution best practices and Hitachi Energy Ireland policies; monitor progress, resource utilization, and financials.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain Management for procurement of services, materials, and equipment; support negotiations and changes.
• Act as the key customer contact and escalation point for project issues; build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Ensure adherence to Health, Safety and Environment policies on the project.
