Job summary

PepsiCo Carrigaline invites applications for an Electrical & Instrumentation Apprenticeship within its Maintenance Engineering function. The successful candidate will complete the SOLAS Electrical Apprenticeship, gaining structured on‑the‑job experience and formal off‑the‑job training at PepsiCo Carrigaline.

The role develops the apprentice into a qualified Craft Electrician, capable of maintaining, fault‑finding and supporting critical equipment in a GMP‑regulated food and beverage facility.

Qualifications

• Formal engagement in SOLAS Electrical Apprenticeship program
• Interest in electrical/industrial engineering
• Willingness to work in manufacturing environment and shift patterns

Responsibilities

• Complete on‑the‑job training per SOLAS standards and assigned tasks
• Assist with installation, maintenance, fault‑finding and repair of electrical systems
• Support maintenance activities on production lines, utilities and site infrastructure
• Participate in planned preventive maintenance and breakdown response
• Learn to read electrical drawings and manuals
• Record activities using PepsiCo’s CMMS
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to maintain safe operations
