Job summary

Echelon Data Centres is seeking an experienced Electrical and I&C Lead to drive end-to-end electrical and I&C activities on large-scale data-centre projects. The role spans design through commissioning, coordinating with Power Delivery, Engineering, Commissioning and Campus teams.

The successful candidate will own contractor scope, ensure safety compliance, manage interfaces with multiple disciplines and deliver pre-commissioning and handover documentation.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrical and I&C engineer with 8+ years in large-scale data-centre or power projects.
• Proven experience across electrical and I&C and control systems.
• Strong contractor management, procurement input and commissioning coordination.
• Excellent stakeholder management and construction QA processes.
• Familiarity with BIM/CAD, scheduling tools and commissioning/test-reporting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement the Project Safety Plan.
• Develop electrical and I&C scope and contractor docs.
• Review designs for constructability and operability.
• Manage on-site electrical and I&C delivery and QA.
• Develop integrated electrical and I&C programme with baseline.
• Coordinate interfaces with multiple teams to avoid clashes.
• Verify completion milestones and handover documentation.
• Lead commissioning tests and prepare FAT/SAT inputs.
• Support risk management and cost control.
