Job summary

Dornan invites applications for its Electrical Engineering Graduate Programme 2027 in Ireland. Successful candidates will work on live projects with experienced engineers and gain exposure to low voltage and medium voltage systems, busbar systems, general lighting, power distribution, diesel generator systems and more.

The day-to-day includes preparing reports, schedules, tender documentation, RFIs, MS Project programs, and progress monitoring.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing an Electrical Engineering Degree (Level 8).
Strong written and verbal communication.
Able to work within a team on live projects.

Responsibilities

Assist with preparation of reports and front-end studies including capital cost estimates, project schedules, material take-offs and tender schedules.
Assist with preparation of technical and contract documentation and analyse tenders.
Prepare and update delivery schedules to control deliveries.
Clarify queries with Design team via RFI system.
Prepare programs using MS Project.
Monitor progress against the program and issue progress reports.
Produce look ahead programs to assist production.
Prepare method statements and risk assessments with the construction team.
Maintain a register of contract variations.
Prepare test packs for recording system completion and perform quality control inspections.
Carry out document control and transmission of information.
Assist projects with financial control of contracts during construction.
Liaise with client design team and contractors on technical issues.
