Job description

Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer required to join one of Europe’s leading Tier 1 Main Contractors on a Data Centre project in Denmark.The Electrical & Instrumentation Electrical Engineer will report into the Electrical Project Manager and be responsible for the working with a team of Electrical sub-contractors ensuring the successful delivery of Electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess electrical designs against standards and produce reports
  • Utilise BIM360/Navis for engineering and redline docs for site use
  • Develop cable schedules, work packs, and calculate/verify cable sizes and containment
  • Participate in FATs, SATs, and identify long-lead items and value engineering opportunities
  • Apply expertise in electrical systems (e.g., Medium/Low Voltage, Switchgear, Instrumentation, Containment, Life Safety, Security, UPS, Data/IT, Earthing)
  • Tackle complex technical challenges with problem-solving skills
  • Oversee on-site quality processes and technical submittals
  • Manage RFIs and lead workshops to resolve design/construction issues

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 3+ Years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working on Data Centre projects would be beneficial.
  • Fluent English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good IT skills, particularly in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Packages.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • Must have an EU passport.
