Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support critical data centre projects across Europe, including Ireland. The role requires experience with high-voltage systems, switchgear installation and commissioning, and a focus on safety and quality.

You will rotate on-site every two weeks across international locations, with travel, flights and accommodation provided. The ideal candidate has practical electrical installation and commissioning experience in data centres or similar

Job description

Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support critical power and data centre projects across Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, London, Amsterdam, the Nordic countries and Ireland. This contract opportunity is suited to an electrical engineering professional with experience across high-voltage systems, switchgear installation and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems within data centre environments
• Working with high-voltage equipment and switchgear systems
• Inspecting electrical installations to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards
• Assisting with commissioning activities, fault finding and technical resolution
• Working in line with service level agreements and project delivery requirements
• Collaborating with project teams, contractors and client representatives across international sites
• Maintaining accurate technical records, reports and commissioning documentation

Job Requirements:

• Experience in electrical engineering within data centres, critical power or similar industrial environments
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems and switchgear
• Practical experience in electrical installation and commissioning
• Understanding of service level agreements and client-focused project delivery
• Experience with ABB electrical systems is preferred
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety procedures and relevant industry standards
• Ability to work effectively on a two-week rotation across international project locations
• EU passport or the appropriate right to work and travel across the required project locations
