Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead electrical engineering activities across key biopharma projects, ensuring high-quality designs and systems. You will define scope, develop specs, estimate costs, and maintain quality processes for electrical and instrumentation work.

You will coordinate control panel layouts, schematics, BOMs, and maintain records; provide technical support and end-user training. Field services including commissioning and testing are involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Level 8) or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience with 400/480 VAC, 3-phase circuits, and 24Vdc relay/PLC control circuits.
• Experience with NEC/NFPA 70, UL508A and EU directives is a plus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor for control drawings.

About Your New Job

• As an Electrical Engineer, you will lead and execute electrical engineering activities across key projects, ensuring designs, specifications, and systems are delivered to the highest standards.
• You will define scope, develop specifications, estimate project costs, and maintain quality management processes for electrical and instrumentation work.
• You will coordinate and develop control panel layouts, schematics, assembly drawings, and bills of materials, maintaining organised project records and technical documentation.
• You will provide technical support to customers and internal teams, evaluate and recommend system upgrades, and deliver end-user training.
• You will support field services, including commissioning, start-up, and quality testing.

What Skills You Need

• Minimum 3 years’ experience with 400/480 VAC, 3-phase circuits, and 24Vdc relay/PLC control circuits.
• Strong background in sizing electrical circuits, performing load calculations, and specifying protection and hardware.
• Proficiency in PLC hardware (Allen-Bradley, Emerson DeltaV preferred), and knowledge of process instrumentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Level 8) or equivalent.
• Familiarity with North American (NEC, NFPA 70, UL508A) and EU (Machinery Directive, IEC) standards is a plus.
• CAD software proficiency (AutoCAD, Inventor) and experience with control loop drawings preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; experience supporting multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
