Job Overview

As an Electrical Design Technician, you will support the electrical design team by producing accurate electrical schematics and panel layouts for a wide range of industrial applications. You’ll play a key role in developing and reviewing electrical systems that meet project, client, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical designs and schematics for power distribution, control systems, and automation projects
• Produce accurate wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and control panel layouts
• Perform electrical load calculations, cable sizing, and equipment selection
• Ensure all designs meet project specifications and applicable IEC, BS, and EN standards
• Collaborate with mechanical, civil, and architectural teams to ensure seamless integration
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and contractors to clarify technical requirements
• Support procurement, manufacturing, and installation stages of projects
• Maintain quality control processes and ensure timely delivery of design documentation

Qualifications

• Degree or trade qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• 5–10 years of electrical design and drafting experience in industrial environments
• Strong understanding of electrical standards and safety regulations
• Ability to read, interpret, and produce technical drawings
• Experience with LV/ELV systems and automation integration (desirable)
• Knowledge of BIM/Revit MEP for electrical services (advantageous)
