Job summary

SRG is seeking an Electrical Design Lead to oversee multidisciplinary design projects within the water sector in Ireland. You will guide a growing team from concept through delivery, ensuring high-quality solutions for water and wastewater treatment infrastructure.

You will liaise with ESB and clients, develop electrical panels, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with Irish and IEC standards. Occasional site travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical design for water/wastewater projects.
• Ability to interpret client specifications and comply with IEC/WIMES standards.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multidisciplinary design projects from concept to delivery.
• Liaise with ESB and clients on electrical design queries and approvals.
• Prepare electrical technical designs, panel schematics and FAT documentation.
• Develop automation hardware and network architecture for water/wastewater infra.
• Mentor junior team members and coordinate with design, contracts and control teams.
• Travel to site occasionally to support design activities and review progress.
