Job summary

EDC - Engineering Design Consultants is seeking an experienced electrical building services consultant. You will deliver detailed electrical designs from RIBA stages A to F, using Amtech, Relux/Dialux, and BIM as applicable.

The role requires hands-on delivery, quality control, and collaboration with the design team, with a minimum of three days in the office per week and flexible work-from-home arrangements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years of Electrical Building Services Consultancy Design experience.
• Proficient user of Autodesk Applications (AutoCAD/Design Review)
• Building Information Modelling (BIM) experience will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Fulfil Electrical design work as required, working to project deadlines.
• Provide quality control for your own work before release to senior engineer.
• Champion change in new systems and technologies.
• Assist modellers to produce detailed working drawings in 3D and scheme drawings.
• Develop project scope with design team / client.
• Produce budgets and reports for clients.
• Representing EDC at client meetings as required.
• Follow EDC’s Environmental Management System (EMS), including all related policies, procedures, and training.
• Perform duties in a manner that supports the company’s environmental objectives and sustainability commitments.
