Job summary

AIR Sligo, part of the AIR Group, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join the engineering team and support delivery of bespoke automated equipment. You will translate customer requirements into high-quality electrical designs and support build, test, and commissioning activities.

The role involves developing electrical designs, detailing schematics, sourcing components, creating test plans, and assisting in debug and testing. A driving licence and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical/electronic engineering, ideally with manufacturing content.
• Minimum 3 years industry experience in electrical design, industrial wiring and debugging of manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with electrical controls, AC/DC motors, servomotors, inverters, panel equipment, drives and pneumatics.
• Experience using EPLAN, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Basic knowledge of PLC programming and controls methodologies.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to deliver within timelines.
• Team player and able to fit within a professional engineering team.
• Hold a valid driving licence and be able to travel as required.
