Your New Job

Our client, a leading Engineering services contractor with a growing project portfolio across Munster, is seeking an Electrical Construction Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale commercial and industrial electrical projects. This is a high-priority role based at the company209s Cork facility.

As Electrical Construction Manager, you will take full ownership of site operations, leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex electrical installations safely, on time, and to specification. This is a key leadership role within the business and offers significant scope for professional development and long-term progression.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage the full life cycle of electrical construction projects across commercial and industrial sites.
  • Oversee the planning, installation, and commissioning of all electrical systems, including containment, lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and data infrastructure.
  • Supervise and coordinate on-site teams including electricians, apprentices, and subcontractors, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
  • Review technical drawings and specifications; ensure works are delivered according to client and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with project managers, clients, and other contractors to maintain seamless site coordination and efficient workflows.
  • Monitor project progress, address issues or delays proactively, and maintain comprehensive site documentation.
  • Ensure full compliance with Safe Electric standards, HSA guidelines, and internal safety procedures.
  • Lead inspections, testing, and verification activities during construction phases.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in on-site safety, operational efficiency, and team performance.
What Are We Looking For?
  • Fully qualified electrician with a National Craft Certificate or relevant third-level qualification.
  • 5+ years 0post-qualification experience working in industrial or commercial electrical installations.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or construction management role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of:
    • Electrical containment systems
    • 3-phase power and distribution
    • Lighting systems
    • Fire alarms
    • Data cabling
  • Experience managing RAMS, permit-to-work systems, and safety documentation.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a commitment to quality and safety culture.
  • Electrical Testing & Verification certification is a strong advantage.
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent is desirable.
