We have a great opportunity for a Resident Engineer to work with a Multinational Engineering Consultancy firm in Ireland. This is a long term contract role to support the delivery of a large-scale infrastructure project.

Electrical/Civil Resident Engineer

Contract: 100k

The Role:

  1. Monitoring, witness testing, checking compliance with the scope and that all works are carried out in accordance with the works contract.
  2. Supervision of contractors' works and ensure that material specifications, workmanship, quality control and health and safety aspects for all works, are in compliance with the contract requirements and regulations.
  3. Draft and review Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  4. Check design calculations are in accordance with the requirements of the contract QA system if needed.
  5. Inspection of drawings, documents and reports, on-site safety and security.
  6. Carry out site surveys and attend site meetings.
  7. Understanding of project management objectives.
  8. Deal with contractual matters on site related to the works.
  9. Liaison with Stakeholders.

Profile:

  1. Relevant Degree qualified (Level 8) in Engineering or a related discipline.
  2. Minimum of 10+ years' post graduate experience in the civil engineering industry.
  3. 2 years' experience in the supervision & administration of Public Works or NEC Contract for Electrical or Civil Engineering Works.
  4. Experience in either Public Realm, Building Services, including Commercial, Industrial or Healthcare projects.
