Sigmar Recruitment is representing a leading Irish electrical contractor recruiting an Electrical Chargehand to oversee on-site operatives and coordination of day-to-day activities on major projects in Ireland. • Qualified Electrician with a recognised electrical apprenticeship.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and coordinate electrical operatives and subcontractors on site.
• Assist with day-to-day management and organisation of electrical installation works.
• Allocate tasks to electricians and apprentices, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Monitor installation progress against project programmes and report any issues to site management.
• Ensure all electrical works comply with regulations, standards and project specs.
• Maintain high health and safety, quality control and housekeeping.
• Coordinate with site management, engineers and other trades for smooth delivery.
• Assist with material requirements, deliveries and resource planning.
• Identify and resolve site issues, escalate technical or programme concerns where necessary.
• Support testing, commissioning and project handover activities.

About Your New Job

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate electrical operatives and subcontractors on site.

• Assist with the day-to-day management and organisation of electrical installation works.

• Allocate tasks to electricians and apprentices, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.

What You Need

• Qualified Electrician with a recognised electrical apprenticeship.

• Previous experience working as an Electrical Chargehand or in a senior electrician position, supervising crews.

• Experience supervising electricians/apprentices and coordinating electrical installation works is essential.

• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical installations.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.

• Good organisational, communication and leadership skills.

• A strong understanding of electrical regulations, quality standards and site safety.

• Ambition to progress into an Electrical Foreman position.
