Capital Switchgear is offering an electrical apprenticeship post-Phase 4 within a modern manufacturing setting. You’ll gain hands-on experience across LV switchgear fabrication, wiring, and assembly, while learning from experienced engineers and technicians.
You will develop practical skills reading schematics, wiring terms, and quality-driven processes, with on-the-job mentoring and clear opportunities for progression after qualification.
Have you completed Phase 4 of your Electrical Apprenticeship and are looking for somewhere you’ll learn more than just installation work?
At Capital Switchgear, you’ll work on the design and manufacture of low voltage switchgear and control panels used in some of the most demanding environments, including data centres, pharmaceutical facilities, hospitals, commercial developments and critical infrastructure projects.
This is an opportunity to continue your apprenticeship in a modern manufacturing environment where you’ll develop a broad range of electrical and technical skills, working alongside experienced panel builders, electricians, testers and engineers.
As part of our Production team, you’ll gain hands‑on experience in the manufacturing process, including:
Every day is different. One week you could be building a distribution board for a commercial project, the next helping manufacture complex switchgear destined for a major data centre.
We’re looking for someone who:
Experience in panel building is of course an advantage, but not essential – we’ll teach you.
Unlike many apprenticeships where you’re carrying out the same installation work every day, this role offers exposure to a wide range of specialist electrical manufacturing skills. You’ll gain experience in:
These are highly transferable skills that will support your career long after you qualify.
Many of our qualified electricians continue to develop their careers within the business. Based on your abilities and performance, future opportunities may include:
If you’re looking for an apprenticeship where you’ll build specialist skills, work on high‑profile projects and join a company committed to developing its people, we’d love to hear from you.
