Job summary

Dawn Meats Kildare has a vacancy for an Electrical Apprentice to join our Maintenance team in Kildare town. The apprentice will be trained in all aspects of the Electrical apprenticeship program, which consists of 7 phases (3 off-the-job and 4 on-the-job).

SOLAS and the Department of Education and Science oversee off-the-job training, while on-the-job training occurs on site with the Dawn Meats Kildare Maintenance team.

Qualifications

• Interest in electrical and mechanical installations.
• Leaving Certificate or equivalent with maths and a science/engineering subject.
• Previous work experience or pre-apprenticeship is advantageous.
• Strong technical aptitude.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to follow maintenance planning and meet targets.

Responsibilities

• Train in all aspects of the Electrical apprenticeship program.
• On-site training with Dawn Meats Kildare Maintenance team.
