Job summary

SR MAINTENANCE AND ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. seeks an Electrical and Control Engineer to design, install, test, commission, troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems and industrial control systems across projects.

The role covers electrical installations, control systems, site supervision, and safety compliance with a focus on reliable operation. Travel to project sites is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical/Control Engineering or related field.
• Experience in electrical installation, industrial control systems, maintenance or automation.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of PLC, HMI, VFD, instrumentation and electrical troubleshooting.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and systems.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, control panels, switchboards, and electrical circuits.
• Perform electrical testing, inspection, and preventive maintenance.
• Supervise electrical installation and replacement works at project sites.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and control systems.
• Diagnose faults in sensors, transmitters, actuators, control valves, and instrumentation.
• Maintain and troubleshoot motor starters, VFDs, relays, and control panels.
• Assist with PLC programming, system integration, and automation upgrades.
• Conduct functional testing and commissioning of control systems.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and project teams.
• Prepare technical reports, service reports, method statements, and testing records.
• Prepare material lists, quotations, and technical documentation.
• Supervise technicians and subcontractors to ensure work is completed according to project specifications and schedules.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with applicable electrical safety standards.
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable Singapore electrical regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate control measures.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with approved procedures.
• Maintain proper records of inspections, maintenance, testing, and commissioning.

1. Job Summary

• Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Good problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to travel to project sites and perform site work when required.
• Familiarity with Singapore workplace safety requirements is an advantage.
