The Position

Paysafe Payment Solutions Limited (“PPSL”) is Paysafe’s European provider of digital wallet solutions and as such is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland (“CBI”) as an Electronic Money institution and a Crypto-asset Service Provider.

PPSL is now recruiting for the role of EEA Chief Operating Officer. The role is a senior executive management position requiring the approved of the CBI as Pre-Approved Controlled Function), reporting to the Firm’s CEO.

As a Pre-Approval Controlled Function (PCF-42), the EEA Chief Operating Officer role holder is accountable for assigned responsibilities under the CBI’s Fitness and Probity Standards and Individual Accountability Framework and must be able to demonstrate that reasonable steps have been taken to ensure those responsibilities are appropriately managed, monitored and escalated.

The Role Of The EEA Chief Operating Officer Includes
  • Accountability for the governance and oversight of critical and important outsourced functions, including performance monitoring, risk assessment, remediation and contingency planning.
  • Accountable for the management and governance of all outsourced services in respect of:
    • Merchant Operations
    • Risk Operations
    • Product Development across Digital Wallets – Skrill & NETELLER
    • Issuing, and Payment Processing – EEA Acquiring
    • Consumer Operations across Digital Wallets – Skrill & NETELLER, and
    • EEA HR Matters
  • Accountability for the robust definition of all outsourced services provided by the service providers with defined success KPIs and agreed performance standards.
  • Accountability for the line management and leadership of the EEA Operations team
  • Ownership of the performance assessment, associated reporting, and clear audit log of all outsourced services’ KPIs and the adherence to the agreed service standards by the outsourced service providers
  • Acts as first line of defence through the EEA Operations team in respect of customer and merchant satisfaction, and protection of Paysafe’s business integrity and performance in compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Development, ownership, and maintenance of strong working relationships with the outsourced service providers and decision making in driving enhanced operational processes and best business practices across Paysafe
  • Ensuring that a clear escalation path is in place to the EEA CEO and Director, and other Senior Executives within Paysafe, in case of underperforming outsourced services with mitigation actions in place as defined in the MISA
  • Providing consultative and specialist support, as a trusted advisor, addressing any operational or industry-related issues or concerns
  • Providing operational management information and reports to the Board, Executive Committees and relevant governance forums, escalating material operational issues, incidents and remediation programmes as required.
  • Actively collaborate with other divisions to ensure that the Group can make informed decisions and is aware of potential opportunities
  • Reviewing the suitability and assesses the criticality/materiality of proposed Group initiatives from a regulatory perspective in respect of the EEA business operations as well as proposed product and/or services developments and changes
  • Governing the intake of new initiatives into the regulated entity’s portfolio and ensures adherence to the agreed change processes
  • Assisting in the development of Group policies and procedures relevant to the company’s business and ensures that the applicable policies are being implemented and are being followed by PPSL and the respective outsourced service providers
  • Accountable for Operations’ risk reporting to the business through the Group Enterprise Risk Management Framework
  • Accountability for ensuring the operational resilience of PPSL's critical business services, including oversight of business continuity, disaster recovery, service recovery and crisis management arrangements.
  • Working closely with Technology, Risk and Compliance functions to ensure the effective operational implementation of DORA requirements, including critical service mapping, third-party ICT dependency oversight, operational resilience testing and incident management.

Experience/Knowledge & Capabilities
  • Must be present in person in the Dublin office in line with company policy and is able to travel to other European Paysafe offices as and when required
  • Has proven operational knowledge and experience of electronic money, payments and outsourced operating models within regulated financial services environments.
  • Has extensive leadership experience in delivery and operations and proven track record of managing strong performing teams
  • Prior customer account management and customer support experience
