Job summary

E-Solutions in Ireland is seeking a hands-on Senior Data Architect to drive enterprise data warehouse delivery within a banking/financial services environment. You will lead Teradata SQL analysis, data modelling, and governance-focused design, working with stakeholders across IT and the business.

The role requires substantial hands-on architecture work, including developing HLDs/ADDs and presenting options to governance boards. Strong experience in regulatory data and BCBS 239 is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Data Architecture experience
• Teradata in an on-premises enterprise data warehouse environment
• Teradata SQL, data analysis, investigation, troubleshooting, and validation
• Experience with Teradata Financial Services Data Model (FSDFM) or equivalent financial services data model
• Understanding of Enterprise Data Warehouse, data marts, data integration, and large-scale data platforms
• Experience in Banking/Financial Services or Regulatory Data environments
• Knowledge of BCBS 239, RDARR, regulatory reporting, data traceability, and data controls
• Data modelling and source data analysis capabilities
• Working knowledge of ETL processes, preferably Informatica and/or DataStage
• Metadata-driven data ingestion, transformation, controls, reconciliation, or delivery frameworks
• Knowledge of Control-M or similar batch scheduling/orchestration tools
• Stakeholder management and governance presentation skills
• Experience producing HLDs, ADDs, and governance-ready architecture documentation
• Understanding of Inmon-style integrated enterprise data warehouse architecture

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Data Architect to support enterprise data warehouse delivery within a banking/financial services environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Teradata, enterprise data warehousing, financial services data models, regulatory data, solution architecture, and stakeholder management.

This is a hands‑on architecture role, with approximately 50% of the work involving technical analysis, SQL investigation, solution validation, issue resolution, and delivery support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and support enterprise data warehouse architecture and solutions.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• Strong Teradata SQL, data analysis, investigation, troubleshooting, and solution validation skills.
• Experience with Teradata Financial Services Data Model (FSDFM) or an equivalent financial services data model.
• Strong understanding of Enterprise Data Warehouse, data marts, data integration, and large-scale data platforms.
• Experience within Banking, Financial Services, or Regulatory Data environments.
