Job summary

Godfrey North is recruiting an Economic Consultant for its Dublin Economics team. The role focuses on Cost-Benefit Analysis, economic modelling and economic impact assessments for clients across public and private sectors.

You will build Excel-based models, develop recommendations and present findings to senior stakeholders, while working directly with clients and managing project workstreams from Dublin.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in economics, consulting, government or similar analytical role.
• Degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering or another numerate discipline.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Strong Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
• Experience in, or exposure to, CBA, Economic Impact Assessment, business cases or economic modelling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commercial approach to problem-solving and confidence working with clients.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Cost-Benefit Analysis to assess investment, policy and strategic options.
• Build and develop Excel-based financial and economic models.
• Prepare Economic Impact Assessments and support the development of business cases.
• Analyse datasets, test assumptions and interpret complex economic and financial information.
• Undertake market, industry and sector research.
• Develop clear, evidence-based recommendations for clients.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.
• Work directly with clients and take ownership of individual project workstreams.
