Uisce Éireann is seeking a Sustainability Reporting Assurance Technical Lead to ensure compliance and accuracy in sustainability reporting. This role involves leading verification processes, developing reporting frameworks, and collaborating with internal teams to enhance sustainability practices. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in sustainability, excellent analytical skills, and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the utilities sector.

The Role:
The Asset Management and Sustainability area is responsible for the development of asset policies, strategies and plans to determine the significant investment required into Ireland’s infrastructure. The area drives investment and the sustainability and innovation agenda for the organisation and leads on Environmental Regulation and Compliance activities, ensuring the quality of water and wastewater is continuously monitored.
The Policy and Reporting team are responsible for developing sustainability-related policies which will enable the realisation of sustainability commitments. This team also conduct monitoring, evaluation and reporting services against objectives outlined by the organisation internally and by external actors. The Policy and Reporting team guide the organisation’s policy direction and ensure consistency and clarity across internal functions and across the tender development and evaluation process. The team will provide internal and external facing reporting and act as the ‘one stop shop’ for sustainability-related data.
Reporting to the Sustainability Reporting Compliance Manager, The Sustainability Reporting Assurance Technical Lead is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency and compliance of sustainability related reporting data and information. Working with team Managers they will be responsible for mapping source data requirements to end point(s) reporting and building out procedures to support this. The role holder will support the sustainability teams, ensures alignment with regulatory requirements and oversee the assurance of Uisce Éireann’s sustainability reporting mechanisms.
