Job Description

Main purpose of the role:

Ensure the store operates efficiently and effectively, providing customers with excellent customer service and a fresh food offering at all times. Achieve key store targets (sales and profitability) through effective management of people and operations.


The Ideal Candidate Will Have/be
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a relevant retail management position
  • Understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets
  • Strong knowledge and experience in reading and acting on reports
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good delegation skills
  • Highly driven with a strong work ethic
  • Passion for grocery retail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment
Main Duties:

  • Oversee and ensure the smooth running of the store
  • Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets related to gross profit margin, net margin, waste, and other KPIs as agreed with the Store Owner
  • Implement planograms correctly and ensure the appropriate range is in place in store
  • Manage employee rostering, annual leave, and maintain accurate records
  • Engage regularly with the Store Owner
  • Ensure high standards of merchandising and store presentation in accordance with store planograms and guidelines
  • Develop and promote effective communication in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment
  • Handle customer queries professionally and efficiently, in line with store policy
  • Embrace new initiatives and adapt to new ways of working
