Job summary

Play and Learn Childcare & Education is seeking a Play Worker in Dublin. This full-time, on-site role supports children’s learning and development through structured and free play activities.

You will supervise, plan routines, and collaborate with families and colleagues in a nurturing setting. The ideal candidate has a QQI Level 7/8 in Early Childhood Education, strong communication skills, and experience with children aged 12 months to 12 years.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 7/8 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• Experience working with children aged 12 months to 12 years.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of play-based learning and child development.
• Ability to follow safeguarding, health and safety policies.
• Organizational skills for planning activities and daily routines.
• Flexible, reliable and collaborative team player.
• First Aid and child protection training are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate play and learning experiences.
• Supervise children to ensure safety and well-being.
• Promote positive social interactions and inclusive environment.
• Observe and document children’s progress.
• Assist with meals, rest times and transitions.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and safeguarding procedures.
