Fota Island Resort is currently recruiting for a Wedding Sales Executive to join our Events team.

What we are looking for:

  • Extensive experience in wedding/event sales (hotel or venue preferred)
  • Attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent Customer Service and Communication Skills
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills

  • 3rd level Hospitality Diploma or equivalent desirable
  • Basic Computer Skills

Responsibilities include:

  • Proactively generate wedding sales leads and convert inquiries into confirmed bookings
  • Assist in the development of the annual Wedding Sales Strategy and Budget
  • Maximise hotel revenue and guest satisfaction by ensuring accurate and effective processing of wedding bookings
  • Prepare a weekly forecast for Weddings when requested
  • Conduct client site inspections and wedding show-arounds, taking responsibility for the conversion of event and wedding inquiries
  • Manage the relationship with the Operations Team, ensuring all information regarding a wedding is communicated correctly on a BEO and at BEO meetings
  • Ensure that all inquiries are responded to within the response time set by the Director of Sales
  • Work closely with couples to understand their vision and customize wedding packages accordingly
  • Responsible for issuing and receiving all Wedding and Events contracts
  • Create client files for all inquiries and bookings to ensure they are accessible by all in the department
  • Attend Wedding Fairs such as WedFest and organise a Wedding Fair at the hotel
