Full Job Description:

As a Commis Chef, you will work closely with our kitchen team to assist in delivering high-quality food to our guests. You'll be involved in all aspects of kitchen operations and gain hands-on experience that will help you build a strong foundation for your culinary career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior chefs with daily food preparation and cooking tasks
  • Prepare ingredients in line with recipe specifications and kitchen standards
  • Support with receiving, checking, and storing deliveries
  • Assist with stock rotation, stocktaking, and minimising food wastage
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas
  • Follow all food safety and HACCP guidelines
  • Learn and develop new skills under the guidance of experienced chefs

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not essential - training will be provided
  • Strong interest in food and a willingness to learn
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Excellent time management and ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Flexible and reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
