Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer/Analyst to support our Investment Operations team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications to enhance our back and middle office operations. The position offers a hybrid work environment based in Letterkenny, Ireland, and remote work options.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain Java (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud) and Python-based applications, REST APIs, and data processing layers.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
3. Provide Level 3 support for production incidents and resolve issues promptly.
4. Write comprehensive documentation and automated tests to ensure code quality.
5. Participate in technical design discussions and promote best practices.
6. Identify opportunities to streamline development processes and decommission legacy systems.

Minimum Qualifications

1. 5+ years of experience in software development, primarily with Java (Spring framework).
2. Experience with Python, APIs, and relational databases such as MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
3. Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is preferred.
4. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

1. Experience in financial services, particularly Fixed Income asset management.
2. Support experience for back-office teams and understanding of trade lifecycle, compliance, and regulation.
3. Familiarity with cloud technologies and enterprise application development.
