Job Overview
The function of the Sales Development Co-ordinator is to achieve individual sales targets, lead and coordinate Commercial and Agri sales, and provide superior customer service within the office. Working closely with and reporting to the Branch Manager, they will be results-oriented.
Job Responsibilities
- Proactively achieve individual sales targets and coordinate prospecting, upselling, and cross-selling within the office.
- Manage and execute daily office administration, ensuring tasks are understood and implemented through regular meetings and guidance.
- Handle customer queries and refer unresolved or technical issues to the relevant personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all systems and procedures laid down by the Company.
- Work flexibly within the Sales Office and participate in various office tasks.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all Company products and compliance requirements, and complete relevant industry qualifications as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships, working closely with the local FBD Life Financial Planning Adviser to enhance service delivery.
- Participate in account management initiatives for Commercial and Agri business.
- Engage in renewal follow-ups, revisions, and identify sales opportunities, including cover and rate improvements.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist customers at the initial notification of claims, following company procedures.
- Manage individual outstanding debit and premium collections.
- Support the Branch Manager and Sales Executive.
- Motivate, encourage, and provide leadership and development support to the Sales Office team.
- Monitor and evaluate Sales Advisor performance, providing feedback and coaching.
- Serve as the office contact and support for staff, head office, Branch Manager, Sales Executive, and Regional Sales Manager.
- Administer Personal Lines and Commercial/Agri business as required.
- Perform administrative duties as required and undertake additional duties as directed by management.
Education
Qualified to Approved Product Advisor (APA), Approved Product Professional (APP), Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP), or hold Grandfathered Accreditation.
Experience
- Experience in insurance or financial services is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience in sales or customer service in a similar role is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to new challenges and opportunities.
- Highly proficient in Progen, TIA, and Microsoft Office.
- Good numeracy and analytical skills are essential.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to produce accurate and timely information.

MCC
