Job summary

Intersport Elverys is seeking an Assistant Manager to support store operations and drive sales performance across our Galway network. You will deputise for the Store Manager, lead teams, manage stock and budgets, and ensure a safe, high‑quality customer experience.

We value 2–3 years of retail management, strong people skills, and a flair for Visual Merchandising. Proficiency in Excel, SAP and email is desirable. This full‑time role offers in‑store training and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years retail management experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
• Visual Merchandising experience desirable.
• Passionate about delivering excellent customer experience and driving sales.
• Proficient IT knowledge including Excel, Email and SAP.
• Third level Business/Retail Management qualification beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deputise for the Store Manager as required.
• Support day‑to‑day store operations, including sales, staff, customer experience, security, health & safety, stock and resources management.
• Meet and exceed store targets and KPIs.
• Assist in cash handling, wage costs, budgets and systems administration as required (TMS, SAP, etc).
• Drive in‑store visual merchandising to engage and educate customers.
• Recruit, train and manage staff in line with company policies.
