Job summary

Reach Active Limited in Mullingar, Ireland, is seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial support to the project team, manage budgets, and ensure contractual compliance on site.

You will conduct site visits, assist in tender pricing, manage subcontractor payments, monitor costs, and contribute to risk management and value improvement while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in trenching and ducting, substations, and overhead lines.
• Commercial management and subcontractor procurement.
• Monthly reporting and earned value analysis.
• Knowledge of contract conditions and construction law.
• Experience with FIDIC and NEC3 terms.
• Ability to challenge resources and costs.
• Experience negotiating project costs.
• Team player who can also work independently.
• Excellent customer service skills, written and oral.
• Strong IT skills, especially Excel.
• Prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and project budgets.
• Help with cost control, monitoring and preparing monthly CVRs.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and compare against schedules and costs.
• Manage subcontractors payments.
• Assist in preparing tender pricing and contract documents.
• Assess, review and mitigate commercial risks and implement risk management policies.
• Support authorisation and submission of project variations.
• Authorise placement of contracts, sub contracts, material and plant orders.
• Maximise cash flow through control, measurement and valuation of work, invoicing customers and paying suppliers.
• Promote health and safety policies and risk management.
• Promote company values to meet and exceed client expectations.
