Job summary

BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. is seeking a Drug Product Operations Team Lead based at the Shanbally facility in Cork, Ireland.

This role will oversee the daily operations, manage a team of technicians and shift leads, and ensure the production schedule is met while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. You will lead startup activities, process validation, and inspections, building a high-performing, flexible team that can deliver safe, compliant and timely drug product filling across

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience working with GMP Mfg processes.
• Track record of embedding a strong Quality culture.
• Ability to interact across cross-functional teams with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• People management of technicians and shift leads.
• Lead and support delivery of the production schedule.
• Assist in troubleshooting and escalation.
• Partner with QA, Engineering, and other functions.
• Represent the Drug Product group at key meetings and reviews.
• Report on KPIs such as schedule adherence and line throughput.
• Ensure training records and cGMP documentation are up to date.
• Support plant optimization and CAPA activities.
