Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties

• This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
• Southside Travellers Action Group is seeking a D1 mini bus driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of our passengers while providing excellent customer service.
• Maintaining the vehicle in a safe and clean condition.
• Recording the mileage of the vehicle.
• Picking up and dropping off passengers at designated locations.
• Assisting passengers with boarding and exiting the bus.
• Communicating effectively with passengers and providing excellent customer service.
• Safely operating the bus while following all traffic laws and regulations.
• Complying with safety regulations.
• Reporting and keeping records of any incidents.
• Ensuring passengers comply with safety precautions, such as wearing seatbelts and remaining seated when the vehicle is in motion.
• Completing relevant health and safety training.
• Maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Performing any other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or line manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a valid D1 driver's licence
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with passengers
• Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
