Job summary
Allcare O'Brien's Pharmacy in Mullingar is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for a 32-hour permanent role. The site operates 8.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday, with Sunday closed. Your team includes a Managing Pharmacist, 1 Support and 2 Technicians, offering a busy but manageable dispensary.
Responsibilities include accurate dispensing under supervision, stock control, blister packs, and claims processing, with a focus on patient care and efficiency. New graduates welcome.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a busy dispensary is an advantage, but newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.
- Experience with McLernons MPS (an advantage).
- IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies an advantage
Responsibilities
- Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
- To prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner.
- Controlling stock levels and ordering medicines as determined by store requirements.
- Preparation of blister packs and processing and tracking claims.
- Reporting to and supporting the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.
