Job summary

Specsavers Liffey Valley is seeking a qualified Dispensing Optician to join our team in Dublin. You will provide exceptional customer care, liaise with Optometrists for consistent patient handovers, and support aftersales service and sales goals.

The role offers a pathway to store leadership with ILM courses, pre-reg supervision and the Specsavers Partnership Pathway, plus opportunities for clinical development with advanced technology like OCT.

Qualifications

• Qualified and CORU-registered Dispensing Optician.
• Experience with customer service in a retail optics setting is desirable.
• Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to store management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide high levels of customer service to all clients.
• Coordinate with Optometrists to ensure consistent handover of patient care.
• Handle aftersales service, complaints and problem solving in a customer-focused manner.
• Contribute to achieving individual and team sales targets using professional sales techniques.

Salary: Up to €45,000. Depending on your experience.

Our Dispensing Opticians are the face of our clinic on the shop floor and usually an integral part of our store management team, so we’re keen to get you up to speed with management responsibilities. This – along with your clinical expertise – will stand you in good stead if you choose to become a store director yourself one day.

The Role in a Nutshell:

• Ensure that you provide good levels of customer service to customers at all times.
• Liaise with Optometrists to ensure that each customer you dispense receives a consistent quality handover.
• Manage aftersales service (including complaints and problem solving) in a customer service focused ‘can do’ manner.
• Contribute to achievement of individual and team sales targets by demonstrating effective professional sales techniques.
