Job summary

Specsavers Dundrum is seeking a qualified and CORU-registered Dispensing Optician to join our team in Dundrum. You will provide excellent customer service, work with Optometrists to ensure consistent handovers, and take charge of aftersales matters with a can‑do attitude.

With ILM training and potential pathway to store leadership, this role offers development opportunities and a blended full-/part-time arrangement.

Qualifications

• Qualified and CORU-registered Dispensing Optician.
• Experience in dispensing/optician role.
• Experience in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide high levels of customer service to all customers.
• Liaise with Optometrists to ensure consistent handovers for each customer.
• Manage aftersales service including complaints and problem-solving in a customer-focused manner.
• Contribute to achieving individual and team sales targets using professional sales techniques.

Salary: Up to €40,000 depending on your experience PLUS Performance Based Bonus on Top

Working Hours: Full or part-time considered

Experience Level: Must have previous experience working in an optician

This – along with your clinical expertise – will stand you in good stead if you choose to become a store director yourself one day.

The Role in a Nutshell

• Ensure that you provide good levels of customer service to customers at all times.
• Liaise with Optometrists to ensure that each customer you dispense receives a consistent quality handover.
• Manage aftersales service (including complaints and problem‑solving) in a customer service‑focused ‘can do’ manner.
• Contribute to the achievement of individual and team sales targets by demonstrating effective professional sales techniques.
