Job summary

Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Disability Support Specialist for its client in Cavan. The role focuses on empowering residents to live independent, meaningful lives, serving as a professional leader and bridging frontline care with management under the Person In-Charge.

You will provide advanced person-centred support, staff supervision, and clinical assistance, while promoting a safe, compliant, and supportive environment for residents and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Diploma or QQI Level 6+ in a related healthcare field.
• Minimum 2 years’ Direct Support Worker experience or related role.
• Irish/EU/EEA Passport holder required.
• Full driving licence essential.
• Strong communication skills and proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Clinical leadership: assist in implementing clinical policies and guidelines to maintain high care standards.
• Maintain a welcoming, caring, therapeutic environment.
• Coordinate MDT appointments with the multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident satisfaction and service delivery.
• Provide supervision to frontline staff and support induction and staff development.
• Ensure clear communication to staff on day-to-day operations and policies.
• Deliver key-working, medication management, and daily care activities.
• Promote resident participation in planning and setting personal goals.
• Record incidents and reports to the Person In-Charge as required.
