About the Job: A well-backed aircraft leasing platform is looking to appoint a Director Risk to play a key role in developing and managing its risk function. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a strategic position with responsibility for shaping risk frameworks, governance, and oversight across the platform. It’s a unique opportunity to make a high-impact contribution to a fast-growing aviation investment business.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and enhance risk frameworks, policies, and standards.

• Provide strategic risk analysis and reporting to senior leadership and the board.

• Evaluate airline credit profiles and portfolio exposures.

• Support transaction reviews, pricing, and risk-adjusted return assessments.

• Contribute to aircraft acquisition and disposal evaluations, including financial modelling.

• Monitor global aviation market trends to inform business strategy.

• Oversee portfolio reviews and semi-annual valuations.

Qualifications

• Degree in finance, economics, risk management, mathematics, or a related field.

• Strong background in financial modelling and data analysis.

• Significant experience in risk management within aircraft leasing.

• In-depth understanding of airline credit risk, aircraft economics, and portfolio management.

• Excellent communication skills, with proven experience engaging at senior/board level.
