Job summary

The Assisted Human Reproduction Regulatory Authority (AHRRA) in Dublin seeks a Director of Surrogacy - Principal Officer to lead the regulatory regime for surrogacy under the Health (Assisted Human Reproduction) Act 2024. The role combines strategic leadership with accountability for licensing, compliance and public information.

You will oversee end-to-end framework establishment, ensure transparent decision-making, and steer multidisciplinary teams within the leadership.

Qualifications

• Significant senior-level experience in service regulation or health policy.
• Proven expertise in implementing complex statutory frameworks.
• Strong understanding of surrogacy, family law, or health governance.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in high-stakes environments.
• Excellent judgment, analytics, and data presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regulation of surrogacy arrangements and licensing under the Act.
• Lead establishment and ongoing oversight of the regulatory framework.
• Ensure decisions are transparent and fair, with due process.
• Collaborate with leadership, government bodies and the public.
