Director of Sales and Marketing 5* Resort Cork

Director of Sales & Marketing – 5* Resort Cork

We are delighted to present a wonderful opportunity to represent our client's stunning 5-star Resort as Director of Sales and Marketing. Joining an award-winning, enthusiastic Executive team, the successful candidate will lead a passionate, experienced sales and marketing team to achieve and surpass budgets.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Create lucrative sales targets and develop business relations with corporate clients. Maintain a contact and customer database covering various market segments.
  2. Prepare sales proposals for clients. Develop and promote the product image and awareness through direct mail campaigns and attendance at key travel and tourism tradeshows.
  3. Establish an effective sales call cycle for key customers, partners, and contacts.
  4. Observe market trends, monitor main competitors, and create sales targets based on market conditions.
  5. Manage key accounts and oversee account management activities for the Resort.
  6. Communicate effectively with all relevant parties and lead the department in a structured, organized manner, liaising regularly with the COO.
  7. Assist in creating annual revenue budgets and marketing plans, aiming to generate top-line revenue exceeding budget goals.
  8. Collaborate with the Revenue Department, Hotel Management, Reception, and Front Office on sales action plans, promotional events, brochure production, and distribution to drive sales and revenue growth.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 3 years of management experience in a similar role within a 4/5* property.
  2. Third-level qualification in a relevant field.
  3. Excellent organizational, financial, and strategic business development skills.
  4. Proven track record in Corporate, Leisure, and Event Sales within the Irish market.
  5. Legal right to live and work in Ireland.
  6. Flexibility to work varied hours and travel as required.
  7. Full Driving License and own transport.
