Job description

Director of Nursing Required – Youghal, Co. Cork

• Details: This is a clinical and people management position. The post holder will become the Person in Charge (PIC) of a residential care facility for Older People, including compliance with HIQA regulations.
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week. HSE principles for extended working day/week framework, to enable provision of services to patients on 5/7 basis, apply to this position.
• Start Date: Immediate
• Timeframe: Short-term (reviewed weekly)
• Eligibility Criteria:
  • Registered in the General Nurse Division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] - (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann).
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience.
  • 10 years post registration nursing experience consisting of at least three years’ experience nursing older people in the last six years.
  • Management qualification in health or social care management at a minimum of Level 8 on the NFQ.
