Job Scope

The Director of IT is responsible for development, implementation, and management of the organization's technology infrastructure and systems. This role ensures the alignment of IT strategies with business goals, leads a team of IT professionals, and manages the organization’s technology resources to enhance productivity, security, and scalability. The Director of IT will play a critical leadership role in digital transformation initiatives, cybersecurity, data governance, and vendor management.

Needs to Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
  • 6+ years of progressive IT experience, including 4+ years in a senior IT leadership role.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing IT strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Experience with ERP Systems management and development essential. (Oracle NetSuite preferable)
  • Demonstrated success managing IT infrastructure, applications, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity.
  • Familiarity with IT compliance standards and data protection regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2).
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing IT budgets and vendor contracts.
  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., PMP, CISSP, ITIL, TOGAF).

  • Develop and execute the IT department’s strategic plan in alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the management, security, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure, systems, and networks.
  • Direct the implementation of new IT systems and software, ensuring optimal integration and user adoption.
  • Manage IT budgets, forecast future technology needs, and negotiate with vendors and service providers.
  • Ensure the organization's data and systems are secure, backed up, and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technology needs and support digital transformation initiatives.
  • Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
  • Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements.
  • Report regularly to executive leadership on IT performance, projects, and emerging risks or opportunities.

  • Able to manage multiple priorities and deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Familiar with Agile, DevOps, and modern software development practices.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to ethical IT governance.
