Job summary

SMBC Group in Dublin is seeking an experienced Assurance professional to independently assess controls that mitigate non-financial risks. This role supports the 1LoD risk governance and will own the CMAF framework introduced in 2026, collaborating with Front Office and Control Support Functions.

Based in Dublin with potential travel to London, you will develop control testing plans, report on design and operating effectiveness, and provide governance updates to committees.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in operating an Assurance / Control testing related role.
• Familiarity with Risk Management frameworks, especially Non-Financial Risks.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce the annual control testing plan and execute it timely.
• Collaborate with control owners to understand processes, risks and controls.
• Generate clear reporting on testing results, including design and operating effectiveness.
• Perform thematic reviews and provide governance updates to committees.
• Ensure CMAF is reviewed and updated with stakeholders.
