Job summary

Hero Recruitment has a rare opportunity in Limerick for a Director of Manufacturing Operations in the medical device sector. This senior role leads Production, Procurement, Quality Control, Facilities, and Health, Safety & Environment, reporting to the VP & General Manager.

You will own end-to-end operations across a complex manufacturing environment, set short- to long-term direction, drive efficiency, and shape how the group operates with global sites.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in medical devices or regulated environments.
• Strong commercial acumen and budgeting experience.
• Experience within the European medical device sector is advantageous.

Director of Manufacturing Operations – Medical Device | Limerick

This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership role with a global medical device manuf acturer based in Limerick, a business at the f oref ront of lif e-saving technology, with serious scale and even bigger ambition.

We're looking f or a strategic, hands-on operations leader to take the reins of the entire Operations f unction - Production, Procurement, Quality Control, Facilities, and Health, Saf ety & Environment, and shape how this site perf orms f or years to come. You'll sit on the senior leadership team, reporting directly to the VP & General Manager, with a genuine seat at the table and real inf luence over the direction of the business.

What you'll bring:

• 7+ years leading Manuf acturing Operations at a senior level, ideally within a complex, regulated, multi-disciplined environment.
• A third-level qualif ication in a relevant discipline, or equivalent senior management experience.
• Commercial acumen - a genuine understanding of the f inancial and supply chain implications of operational decisions, including budgeting and planning.
• Experience within the European medical device sector would be a strong advantage.
• A track record of driving continuous improvement and eliminating waste, with a "best in class" mindset.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving and prioritisation skills, and the self -motivation to match the pace of a growing global business.
