Job summary

G2 are seeking an experienced HSE Director to join a client in Dublin, Ireland on a permanent basis. The role focuses on leading health, safety and environmental performance across multiple live construction projects, including data centre, residential and commercial sectors.

You will collaborate with project managers, site teams and contractors to ensure compliance with legislation and company procedures, maintaining a strong safety culture and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
• 5 years HSE experience in construction.
• Experience with a main contractor preferred.
• Experience on data centre, residential or commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Experience leading site-based HSE teams.
• Audits, inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Job description

G2 are currently looking for an HSE Director to join a client on a permanent basis in Dublin, Ireland.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established contractor delivering a range of projects across the data centre, commercial and residential sectors. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving health, safety and environmental performance across multiple projects, ensuring consistently high standards are implemented and maintained from pre-construction through to project completion.

As HSE Director , you will work closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure all works are carried out safely and in line with company procedures, client expectations and relevant legislation. This role will be based in Dublin, with occasional travel to sites in Europe (once per month).

Requirements:

• Strong HSE / EHS / SHEQ / HSEQ background
• NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification
• 5 years' HSE experience within construction
• Experience working for a main contractor is preferred
• Previous experience across data centre, residential, or commercial projects
• Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety and environmental requirements
• Experience managing and supporting site-based HSE teams
• Confident conducting audits, inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

This position requires a confident and proactive HSE Director who is comfortable working across multiple live construction projects, advising project teams and subcontractors on all health, safety and environmental matters.

You will be responsible for helping to maintain a strong safety culture across the business, ensuring HSE procedures are implemented effectively and working closely with site teams to continuously improve standards across projects.
