Job summary

Gartner seeks a Director Analyst within its Assurance Practice to lead internal audit insights for Chief Audit Executives and their teams. You will produce pragmatic, provocative insights and collaborate across Gartner’s Assurance Practice to enhance risk coverage and audit planning.

You will mentor junior analysts, present at Gartner events, and travel up to 25% to engage with clients and prospects, delivering high-quality research and client-ready content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; graduate degree preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant internal audit or industry experience.
• Experience assessing audit coverage strategies for complex tech risks (cybersecurity, IT governance).
• Direct experience leading IT audits (cybersecurity, governance, operations, data).
• CISA or comparable credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative, thought-provoking insights content to support senior leaders in data analytics for audits of large organizations.
• Develop new insights through thought leadership to address client needs and drive action.
• Lead in-depth analyses to identify root causes and reframing to advance strategy.
• Demonstrate thought leadership and establish insights positions across the team.
• Provide clients with actionable advice aligned to designated content areas via virtual or in-person interactions.
• Create and deliver high-value presentation materials for Gartner events and client briefings.
• Support sales by providing market voice to help insights teams engage with clients.
