Job summary

Virgin Media Television in Ireland seeks a Digital Asset Coordinator to join our Operations team. The role covers editing, encoding and timely delivery of all Video on Demand content for our website and Virgin Media Play across multiple platforms, with irregular hours and weekend work.

You will manage metadata, CMS inputs, schedules, liaise with platform partners, and support ad campaigns; prior experience with VOD delivery and Avid editing systems is required.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering multiplatform/VOD content across platforms.
• Familiarity with Avid or similar editing systems.
• At least 1 year editing or media management experience.
• Understanding of broadcast video file formats and standards.
• Ability to multi-task and troubleshoot under changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Create assets and input metadata into the CMS.
• Monitor deliveries from metadata creation to platform appearance and fix issues.
• Create and deliver digital schedules to external platforms.
• Manage Schedules/EPGs for Virgin Media PLAY and Ireland platforms.
• Collaborate with platform partners to resolve file delivery issues.
• Ensure accurate metadata and imagery across VOD platforms.
• Liaise with Commercial Department to support advertising requests.
• Log technical issues with development teams and assist in solutions.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders and drive campaigns.
• Editorialise content on Virgin Media Television site and Play.
• Support Ad Operations in delivering campaigns across platforms.
• Publish content to Virgin Media Television site and update as needed.

About the Role

At Virgin Media Television we are looking for a Digital Asset Coordinator to join our team in Operations. The Digital Assets team is a core operational team within Virgin Media Television, responsible for the editing, encoding and timely delivery of all Video on Demand content for our website and Virgin Media Play across multiple platforms. This role involves irregular hours and weekend work.

Specific Duties & Tasks

• Creation of assets and input of metadata into the Content Management System
• Monitor deliveries through various stages - from metadata creation, through to appearance on platforms – remedying issues when required and addressing issues as they occur through to resolution
• Creation and delivery of the Digital schedules to external platforms including managing late schedule changes
• Schedules and EPGs for Virgin Media PLAY, Virgin Media Ireland and third‑party external platforms
• Develop strong relationships and liaise closely with our platform partners to address any file failures and to ensure file deliveries are complete
• Closely monitor VOD platforms to ensure that all content is represented accurately (imagery/categories/metadata) and address any inconsistencies
• Liaise closely with the Commercial Department to ensure requests from our advertising partners are dealt with in an accurate and timely fashion
• Monitor external customer enquiries and resolve/escalate user issues
• Work closely with our development team and internal tech team, logging technical issues as they arise and assisting in solutions
• Develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders
• Generate creative concepts for VOD, consistent with the key messages and major initiatives set for the company
• Manage VOD Box Set campaigns from encoding and delivery to presentation on the platforms
• Editorialisation of content on the Virgin Media Television website and Virgin Media Play
• Work closely with our Ad Operations team to help deliver and monitor campaigns across multiple platforms
• Manage the encoding, delivery and promotion of commercially produced VOD campaigns on Virgin Media Player and platforms
• Manage and publish content to the Virgin Media Television website, adding new information to the site as required
• Media Asset Management
• The Digital landscape is rapidly changing, and you will be expected to perform duties as necessitated by your changing role and the overall business objectives of the Company, as directed

Skills & Expertise

• Experience with multiplatform/VOD materials delivery
• Knowledge of Avid based editing systems, or similar
• Have at least 1 years’ editing or media management experience
• Understanding of broadcast video file formats and standards
• Ability to multi-task and troubleshoot to resolve issues and shift priorities with ease
